Dear Colleagues! 11th International Materials Science School-Conference "New Materials" invites you to participate in the next meeting "Materials for Energy and Environment Technologies" from 14 to 18 December, 2015 in Moscow. Materials science and engineering is an interdisciplinary field related to synthesis and characterization of materials for wide range of applications. The winter school is primarily intended to provide an introduction to materials development for energy and environment-related applications. It is for a wide audience of early stage researchers, PhD candidates and Master students. The course goals are twofold: to provide attendees with a holistic view of the objectives, opportunities and challenges of materials science and engineering for applications in photovoltaic technology and environment as well as to sensitize the attendees at an early stage of their career to the relevance of the connections among the traditional disciplines as a vital element to the progress. The course will cover: Introduction to materials in photovoltaic technology and environmental research, methods of synthesis and characterization. Meetings will be held in the form of invited talks of the leading Russian and foreign scientists with free discussion and personal talks of the participants.
