Nizhnii Novgorod is an ancient and very beautiful Russian city, located in the confluence of two rivers Oka and Volga. It offers numerous cultural activities including opera, ballet, drama and comedy performances. The city also hosts a Philharmonic orchestra, as well as numerous museums and art galleries. In light of the vast quantity of unique historical, architectural, and cultural monuments located in Nizhny Novgorod, UNESCO included Nizhny Novgorod on the list of 100 world cities, representing significant value in world history and culture.
