Who can apply

EGMD invites students from all over the world.

If you apply for EGMD, you should have completed at least four years of academic studies in economics or in applied mathematics, or should undertake your PhD degree in one of these disciplines. Young scientists with the PhD degrees are welcome to apply as well. For more details, please check Educational Program.

The courses will be given in English. An official certificate of your language proficiency is not required, but you should be at the upper-intermediate level in English at least in order to comfortably follow the lectures and participate in the class discussion.


Registration period

  • Starting date: 1 November 2008
  • Final date: 31 March 2009


Registration procedure

Stage 1. Submit your online registration form.

Remark: Your online registration form will be your application.

Stage 2. By 1 May the EGMD organizers will notify you by email if your application has been accepted and if you have been given a requested EGMD fellowship. If the EGMD organizers do not find it possible to provide you with a requested fellowship, you will be asked to pay your registration fee by June 1, 2009.

Remark: Do not pay your registration fee before you receive the email from the EGMD organizers, stating that your application is accepted.

Stage 3. You pay your registration fee and send your payment receipt to the EGMD organizers (see Logistics for details).
